The Resilience Imperative has been launched in the UK. It is badged as a non-partisan campaign of leaders from business, private capital, intelligence, and the military to raise public consciousness of the hybrid threats facing the country and build national resilience.
Established by Lady Olga Maitland and the Defence and Security Forum, the Resilience Imperative is guided by an executive board and an advisory committee. It is independent and funded entirely by donations.
The Resilience Imperative says that we are currently in the middle of a hybrid war which “is fought not on traditional battlefields, but in the shadows of our society through sabotage, election interference, disinformation, cyber attacks, and arson, all designed to disrupt our daily lives and undermine our way of life.” It aims to raise awareness of these unconventional attacks and to equip the public and organizations with the knowledge to identify and resist these threats.
The goal of the Resilience Imperative is to ensure that the UK remains secure, sovereign, and resilient, no matter the pressure applied by unconventional hybrid warfare methods.
