Resilience Rising, an organization that was formed in 2022 to promote systemic resilience, has announced that it will ‘sunset’ its operations. The organization emerged from Resilience Shift, a five-year programme founded by Arup and the Lloyd’s Register Foundation that closed out at the end of 2021.
The International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI), which Resilience Rising established with other founding partners and incubated at Resilience Rising, will continue: spinning off as a fully independent entity.
The UK-based Resilience First, which became part of Resilience Rising, will also continue to operate.
“Our stewardship of Resilience First has led to an exciting new program of work that will continue their pivotal engagement with the private sector, advancing the legacy of pioneering initiatives we’ve established together,” states Resilience Rising. This was confirmed to Resilience Forward by Rick Cudworth, Board and Executive Director at Resilience First.
“Resilience First continues as an independent entity, funded by its members. We have around 600 members and subscribers currently and a new strategy founded on three key areas. These are enhanced member impact and benefits; focused programming and events with organizational resilience at its core; and strategic partnerships, aligned to our focused programming,” said Mr. Cudworth.
