FEMA has launched a consultation into new draft National Resilience Guidance, which aims to help all stakeholders to ‘understand and fulfil their critical roles related to increasing national resilience’.
The National Resilience Guidance aims to increase community and national resilience in the United States:
- Promoting a common understanding of resilience.
- Emphasizing the critical relationship between chronic community stressors and shocks.
- Addressing the roles of all stakeholders.
- Providing an actionable approach to resilience planning and implementation.
- Incorporating a community resilience maturity model that walks through concrete steps to build resilience.
FEMA will host a series of four 60-minute webinar sessions in May to provide an overview of the National Resilience Guidance.
The deadline for providing feedback on the draft National Resilience Guidance is May 23, 2024.
