Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) International has published its eleventh Annual Global Risk and Resilience Trends Report. The report provides an analysis of current and emerging risks as viewed by those directly involved in resilience management.
The report is based on survey results from more than 300 professionals across all industries and sectors, supported by the views of the DRI Future Vision Committee (FVC).
Highlights of the report include the current top ten operational resilience issues, which are:
1. Cyber events
2. IT disruptions
3. Financial conditions
4. Natural disasters
5. Human resource issues
6. Power shortages
7. Reputational issues
8. Climate change
9. Increased regulation
10. Major facility incidents
The survey also focused on longer-term strategic risks and the top five of these are:
1. Uncontrolled/unregulated use of artificial intelligence (AI)
2. Lack of trust in organizations and institutions to deal with future challenges
3. Changing alliances and geopolitical conflicts
4. Eco-system tipping points
5. Lack of natural resources to sustain a modern economy
